Autumn Embrace – Set

You probably saw this coming! After all, VeruDesigns became known for our nature-inspired statement necklaces. So, with autumn reaching its peak (in terms of beauty) in some parts of the country, it was only a matter of time before I made a jewelry set inspired by it 🙂

And yet (!), this set is quite different from any other nature-inspired piece I’ve created before. For starters, it’s not large, nor overly complex. Today’s Autumn Embrace Set is a gorgeous celebration of this lovely time of the year based on a rather simple and delicate design. Nothing big, very light, and yet filled with lots of tiny details that make each piece (necklace, bracelet and earrings) beyond lovely.

Have a look 😉

The Bracelet: I actually came up with two different designs for the same set. Which one do you like best?

Bracelet #2. The otono bracelet.  I love having choices.

This time of the year is more than changes in weather and nature. It’s the marking point for the year’s countdown (It went too fast!).

For many people the falling of the leaves are reminders of the end of something, and for many others (including myself) it’s also an exciting time of awareness about the changes that happened or are happening in our lives, the expansion of our spirit, and it’s also the the beginning of dreaming up how we’d like the next year to unfold. Yes, it’s a time of change. Inevitable change. Change to either more of the old, or towards something completely new, but change nevertheless.

I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit, and I began to realize that the biggest changes in my life this year, are the ones that came to me. The ones that I “allowed”, rather than the ones I fought for. Change comes also with recognizing what parts of ourselves (our habits, thoughts, beliefs) we’re choosing to leave behind. I will write much more about this (very personal) topic later in the year, but I can tell you that there are several leaves that I’m gladly leaving behind. Not because they are bad. They’ve served their purpose. They’ve taught me the lessons that they came to teach me, and I’m ready to move on.

So yes. More than anything, to me, fall is a beautiful time of consciously absorbing what this beautiful year has taught me so far, particularly about myself. And in this awareness, it becomes an opportunity for re-invention, hopefully for the better 🙂
