The Best of 2015 (Part 2), and what to expect in 2016

Quote
As I type this, I’m in the midst of what I’ve called a time of “re-imagining VeruDesigns in 2016”.

When January 1st rolled in, I had a sudden strong feeling in my gut that I first couldn’t quite figure out. But by the end of the first week I was finally able to hear it: “It’s time. It’s time for change at VeruDesigns. It’s time for growth”.

You see, it’s very easy and comfortable for me to continue doing what we’re doing. The momentum makes it safe and almost automatic (isn’t that true for most things in life?).

In other words, unless we choose growth (in whatever aspect of our lives is calling for it), it won’t happen. I don’t necessarily believe that growth can be scheduled. It’s something that we become ready for per our own unique journeys.

The second part of the equation (once we choose growth) is deciding what kind of growth are we craving? Many people grow in ways that will appease clients, friends or family; instead of listening to their true inner desires and voice.

I would lie if I were to tell you that I’m crystal clear about the kind of growth I’m looking for. I’m not. Yet.  But I can tell you that it’s becoming clearer and clearer by the day, as our 2016 Business Plan takes shape.

The third part of growth (after choosing it and then getting clear on it), is deciding which parts of our old-selves we must let go. Growth implies change. And change implies disruption. Otherwise it wouldn’t be change. You’ll be the first to know what is new and what we’ll let go at VeruDesigns, as soon as our plan is finalized.

But while all this happens behind the scenes, I wanted to start 2016 with a tribute to the very best of 2015. Because as ready as I feel for the new, I’m in FULL of appreciation and gratitude for the old and the year we just left behind.
